Worthington Hospital is now part of the Sanford Healthcare system, which is based out of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Prior to becoming part of the Sanford Healthcare system Worthington Hospital was a community-based hospital, which helped provide vital services to the people of Worthington and the surrounding communities.
The sixty-nine members of Worthington are proud of the work they do and have been a leader in providing cutting edge healthcare to the citizens’ of that part of the state, and their professionalism is reflected in the membership at the hospital.
Besides Swift, Worthington Hospital is the second largest employer in the area. Many of our members have a long and proud history of working at the hospital and have made providing healthcare part of their chosen career.
Worthington is a wonderful community, and has many of the small town charm that many people have come to love. From their history to their hometown festivals, Worthington is place people have been attracted too.
There are currently four shop stewards dedicated to making Worthington Hospital a great place to work: Carol Johnson, Nancy Marco, Kathy Olsen and Diane Rabenberg. The stewards, with the help and support of their co-workers will be opening up the wages and call pay, a is meeting scheduled towards the end of May to begin the process; the complete contract will be open for negotiations next year.
